You can earn from the spikes and sell your ads slots to raise your fund without spending your pocket. Therefore I said it is a free advertising.

Thanks for trying CMF Ads. There was one point I wanted to comment on:

"CMF Ads Advertising effect is not good enough. Since there is no incentive to make others click on your ads."

and this:

"Only Spikes can “force” other click on your ads. Usually click and run."

I'm not sure I understand your point here. You say that advertising isn't good because we don't give incentives to click ads, but you suggest that Spikes aren't good because of the "click and run".

If we gave people incentives for clicking ads, you'd get a lot more clicks, but most of them would be for the incentives only. Click incentives do not work with ads. If you try to run a product-based ad - i.e. one that will generate sales if people buy the product - you will see that any site that pays members to click ads will generate a lot of clicks, but very few sales. CMF Ads will generate fewer clicks, but in general you should get a better percentage of sales out of the number of clicks you do receive. Because there is no incentive to click ads placed via CMF, your clicks will only come from people who are interested in the ad. We believe this is what makes advertising work best.

Spikes are different because they are only seen by members who are logged in and who visit the Spikes page, unlike ads which are seen by anyone who visits a blog with the CMF Ads widget. Generally speaking, most people who click Spikes have an interest in the blog they're clicking on, because we show the latest post. If someone clicks a spike and there is no new post since their last visit, they will leave immediately. Same goes for ads. It's up to the blogger to reduce "click and run" on their site, no ad network can completely prevent this from happening on a blog. It depends on the blog.
