Social bookmarking is another way to build quality backlinks. Social bookmarking links seem have a higher value to boost your SEO Ranking.

I have collected a list of social bookmarking sites.

Some of them will give you “Do Follow” Link which gives you higher value backlink. Although some of the links are ” No Follow ‘ links, social bookmarking sites always have a better authority. The much higher authority ” No Follow ” links seem to have higher value than the normal ” No Follow ” Link.

Submitting your articles to articles directories. You can submit your article to the popular site like EzineArticles, Hubpages, Squidoo, etc. You can add your link into the post.

Directories Submission

Submit your site to the blog Directories as much as you can. It only depends on the effort that you did. The more submission you have done, the more back links you will have.

Search Engine Submission

Submit your site to the search Engines. Once your site is crawled by the search engine. You may get multiples backlinks from them. Especially indexed by the popular search engine like Google, Yahoo, Bing, AOL, ASK, etc.

Bookmarking your site seems can help your SEO Ranking very much. Some of the bookmarking sites are ” Do Follow ” sites. ” Do Follow ” sites can give you a higher value backlinks to boost your SEO Ranking.

SEO can probably be divided into two part, insite SEO and offsite SEO.

Insite SEO means you can done by yourself to optimize your site. In the previous posts ”7 things you should remember about SEO.“ has mentioned some of the factors will affect your SERP.

In this post, I am going to make a conclusion about Insite SEO.

Domain Name

Before you set up a site. You should think about your domain name. Keywords included in the domain name will gain an advantage on SEO. Your site will receive a better recognition from the Search Engine.
If your site Domain name does not include keyword’s, you should do somethings on the path. For instance, this post is about insite SEO, you will see the URL of this post will be “http://kyrosp.com/seo-insite-seo“, the keywords ” SEO ” and ” insite SEO ” are included in the URL. It will be recognized by the search engine much easier.

Title

Title for your site is very important. Title will be seen by the search engine spiders after the URL. Similar to the Domain name, including keywords in your title will be recognized by the search engine much easier. Remember that title should not be too long. It should contain about 10 to 70 characters.

Meta Description

Meta Description tells your searcher what is your site about. It is the third information about your site will be shown to the search engine spiders. The search result will only display about 160 characters, therefore you should control the length of the meta description under 160 characters.

Meta Keywords

Although Google has announced that they will ignore the meta keywords, you are recommended to insert meta keywords in your site. You are not only targeting Google only, other search engines like Yahoo, MSN did not announce they ignore the meta keywords. You should remember your meta keywords should be related to your site content, otherwise you may be treated as spam.

Headings

Your site title should be in H1 size. H1 size words are the most easiest to be recognized by the spiders. The headings of articles should be in H1 or H2.

Bold

Besides the H1 or H2 size words. Bold words are another spiders’ love. In your articles contents, try to bold your keywords!!

Text /  Html ratio

The text and html ratio should be over 15%, it will affect your keywords density. More text means your keywords will appear more frequently in your pages. It can help you to boost your website SEO.

Frame and Flash

Avoiding adding Frame and Flash to your site. They may block the spiders and push them away. The result is your site where contain Frame or Flash may not be indexed by the search engine.

Sitemap

It helps the search engine to crawl your site correctly, submit your sitemap to search engine through webmaster tools. For more details about site map, you can read the post “SEO – Sitemap”

Robot.txt

A robots.txt file allows you to restrict the access of search engine robots that crawl the web, and it can prevent these robots from accessing specific directories and pages. It also specifies where the XML sitemap file is located.

Content

Do not let your content length too short or too long. Control in the range from 300 words to 600 words. Too short will make your content less quality and too long will drive your audience out. You site content should be updated frequently. Frequently update will attract spiders and your pages will be indexed faster.

In part 4, SEO terms that you should avoid doing. If you want to have a better searching result ranking, your site must avoid doing the followings terms.

Frame Set

Some of the search Engines’ spiders do not support Frame. If you place frame on your site, the spiders can not surf your site. The result is your pages won’t be indexed. Some ads networks code are including frame, try to avoid using those ads networks.

Cloak

The content shows to the search engine spiders is different from the content shows to readers. This will be treated as a spam, the sites/pages will be deleted from the search engine index and search result.

Doorway Pages

Create a page which is full of keywords, try to make this page have a good search result ranking in different keywords search result. If a surfer click on that page, the surfer will be redirected to the homepage.

Hidden Text

Putting keywords into the site but does not let the reader see that. However, the search engines spiders could see those keywords and crawl there site. However, the keywords may not related to the contents, sites. Some of them are using the sites background color as their text colors, therefore it will not affect the pages layout.

Hidden Link

It is similar to Hidden Text. The different is using links without affecting the layout, to increase the target pages popularity.

Dynamic Pages

The pages contains symbols like ” &”, “?”,etc. Those symbols will reject the search engines spiders. Therefore, don’t put any symbols on your article title, site title, keywords, etc.

Keywords Stuffing

All keywords should not be repeated too many times in one pages. It is easy to be treated as BLACK HAT SEO. Huh! You should know what is the result about BLACK HAT SEO.

Misleading words

Using non-related keywords in one page. It make the searchers can not find what they want through search engine. However, it may hard to be detected by the search engines. Therefore, Google has said that their search engines will ignore Mete Keywords. Only Google has announced they will ignore the meta keywords, it may still work with other search Engine.

You are not recommended to try the above terms. Although it may help you in Short, you will finally get punished.

You should do everything normally and legally.

Pagerank

It can be called PR. It is invented by Google. Google uses it to rank sites. The score is from 0 to 10, 10 is the highest score. Having a higher pagerank can help you site has a better ranking in search result. That’s why many sites’ owners always try to improve their PR. The formula of calculating PR is a secret, but it can be estimated by how many quality backlinks the site have and the authority of the backlinks. Sitemap

A sitemap providing all your sites URL to the spiders from search engines. It helps spiders crawl your site correctly. When you generate a sitemap.xml, you have to upload it and submit the path to the search engines. For example, submitting your sitemap to Google through your Google Webmaster Tools. For more details, you can visit the articles about sitemap.

Authority

This is related to Google Pagerank. However, it is an invisible figure. A backlink from authority site has much high value. It helps to boost your google pagerank so much. Besides, it also helps you have a higher ranking in search result, link with the authority site may make search engine think your site is a quality site.

Sandbox

In the SEO world, there is a doubt that is sandbox exists or not. The search engine will put the new site or the site “over SEO” into the sandbox. They have to confirm the site perform as a BLACK HAT SEO or not. If the sites keep constant traffic or increase the traffic steady, the search engine will pull the sites out from the sandbox. Therefore, don’t worry if your site does not have a better result at the begin. For a old site, if you think your site was being put into the sandbox, you have to think ” ARE YOU OVER SEO?” If the answer is yes, just try to undo the things that you currently did.

Insite SEO

It is meaning that the things you can done with your site. For instance, your site’s title, articles titles, meta tags, keywords, text/html ratio, descriptions etc. All insite materials are under site owners control. You should try your best to optimize those insite information which is related to your site content.

Offsite SEO

Some of the Outsite SEO are out of control but some of them are still under control. Outsite SEO is representing the outside factor. For instance, backlinks, pagerank, listed in the directories, indexed by the search engine. Getting quality backlinks from authority sites is a little bit hard, it mainly depends on your site contents. The thing you can do with outsite SEO is submitting your site to search engine and the directories. Exchanging link with other sites seems is another thing you can do.

301 Redirect

Can be defined as permanent redirect. For an example, at the search engine’s view, http://www.kyrosp.com and http://kyrosp.com may be considered as two different sites. Redirecting your non-preferred URL to your preferred URL is a important part for SEO. Spiders will be leaded to your preferred URL and your sites will be indexed correctly.

Backlink

Your URL link from other site is called backlink. This is an important factor to your SEO and Google Pagerank. Normally, it can be said the more backlinks you have, your site’s PR and Search result ranking would be better. However, there seems exceptional cases.

One Way Link

It is a type of backlink. Normally, it maintains the highest value. Only others link to you, you have not link back.

Two or more ways Link

It is another type of backlink. Sites link with each others. This kind of backlink maintains less value than One Way Link.

Inbound Link

All backlinks you have received are called Inbound Links, including all kind of backlinks ( one way link or two way link, etc.)

Outbound Link

Links from your site to others sites.

Internal Link

The links on your sites which are linking between your sites’ pages.

Sponsored Link

The links are paid to appear on sites. Google do not allow LINK SELLING or you may receive a punishment from Google. Usually decreasing your pagerank and your search result ranking.

Link Farm / Factory  (DON’T be THIS)

A site got many many backlinks from non-related sites will be treated as a Link Farm / Factory. Link Farm / Factory is SEO SPAMMING. Your sites may be rejected by the search engines and won’t be indexed.
If you were linked by a Link farm, don’t worry about that. The only case that you will be affected is you link back to those link farm. One way link from link farm would not affect you.

NOT all links’ terms are included above.

SEM ( Search Engine Marketing )

This can be defined as another name of SEO.
Optimizing and promoting sites, including pay actions and non-pay actions.

SERP ( Search Engine Result Page )

After entering a keyword in the search engine, the search engine will show you a list of website.
Besides the sponsored website, you can find 10 websites in each page. The aim of doing SEO is making your site enter into the first page of SERP. It will be less useful if your site is not listed in the first 3 pages.

Directories

The directories is a library of search engine. Quality sites will be included in the related Directories.
The sites that included into the directories are submitted manually to the search engine.

Crawler, Bot, Spider

Crawler , Bot, Spider are sent by the search engine, they surf the net automatically. Collecting data from sites and indexing sites in the search result. If you see that your site were visited by them frequently, that means your site may be a quality site at the search engine view. The aim of SEO is attracting them to visit targeted sites.

Keywords, KeyPhrases

Keywords and KeyPhrases mean the most important words or phrases in the sites. The keywords and keyPhrases are representing  sites, articles or contents. Crawler , Bot, Spider weight sites and find out what keywords and keyphrases are most related to sites. They will index the pages in the search engine result pages with the related keywords and keyphrases.

Spamming

Spamming is included in the BLACK HAT SEO. It is cheating! Cheating for the Crawler, Bot, Spider.
Keywords stuffing is one of the cheating methods. Entering non-related keywords into the sites will be treated as a BLACK HAT SEO. However, Keywords stuffing can be treated as a WHITE HAT SEO in some situations.
Every actions try to cheat the search engines is not allowed. There will be a disaster to those cheating sites.

The aboves keywords are the most basic and important part about SEO.

1. Websites owner optimize their websites.

2. Once your site is ready, submit your site to search engine like Google, MSN, Yahoo, Etc.

3. Waiting the search engine’s “spider” to crawl your site.

4. Waiting your site’s pages indexed by the search engine. Search Engine will weight every indexed pages. For instance, keywords,   content quality, layout, speed of your site, etc.

5. Your pages will appear on the search result.

White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO

At the search engine view, there is two kinds of SEO.

1. White Hat SEO — Site owners use proper ways to optimize their websites, their SEO mainly base on their experiences. Attracting the search engines’ spiders in a proper way. It usually takes a longer time to get the result. The site contents are blog for readers but not blog for search engine.

2. Black Hat SEO — Site owners spam and cheat. They only blog for the search engines. For instance, they repeat the keywords in their contents frequently or hide some keywords in the html. In order to attract the spiders in a short time. However, some of the hidden words may not related to their site contents.

You are not encouraged to use BLACK HAT SEO. Search engines like Google, they have a system to punish BLACK HAT SEO. Google will exclude the BLACK SEO in the search result.

Back links from other sites are very important to your site. All of you should know that the backlinks affect your Google PageRank very much. The more quality backlinks ( Sites which are high PR ) you have, the higher Google PageRank you have. How can you get quality backlinks from the quality sites? There are two aims of this action. Checking the links appeared or not and checking the site PR. Before you have chosen the site. You can’t get the URL of the site. There are many sites have a 0 PR. You have to spend some times to find out a blog which has a better PR.

I have found a few blogs that have PR in 1-2.

If you find that the blogs you have chosen did not have any PR, you can delete the links without hesitation. Your credits will be added back. Don’t worry of selecting unwanted blogs.

The following plugins are related to every post. Let your readers share what you write, notice them what to read.

Sitemap can help you. New bloggers may not know about this important tool. Sitemap can be defined as all URL of your site pages. For examples. There are 79 Pages in this site. Therefore, there are 79 URL included in the sitemap.

Access into this site. http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
Which can help you build your sitemap easy and fast. Just fill in your site as the below form and click “start”. Your site map will be generated.

P.S For a free users, only 500 pages can be included in the sitemap.

After donwloading  sitemap. It usually is a XML file.

The next step is applying webmaster accounts.

MSN

In the webmaster dashboard, you can submit your site with the sitemap.
After submitting the sitemap. You have to wait a few days to let the engine index your pages.

Check them back after a week. If your site is worth to be indexed, it should be indexed in a short time.
A indexed site should have a better SEO ranking.

This post is going to write about SEO(Search Engine Optimization) which is concerned by bloggers. The higher SEO Rankings you have, there is bigger chance to have more traffic.

It is no doubt that if your sites can have a higher SEO Rankings in popular search engine like GOOGLE, YAHOO, MSN ,etc. The traffic you gain from search engine must be out of your expectation.

Therefore here is going to tell you about some of the techniques can gain a higher rankings.

1. Your Stie Title
    
     Did you ever use a search engine? Maybe you have never focus on the results’ characteristics. I have to point out that the results are showing the title first. That’s mean if your site title had included the keywords. It should be more easy searched by the engine.

2. Content

    Content are important to SEO too. The searching result not only shows the site title also the site content. However, there is just a little word is showing at the result, about 60 words. Here you need to do is, try to make sure your keyword is included in the first 60 words.

3. Bold

    Try to Bold your keywords. Bold words can catch spiders and bots attention.

4. Don’t try to put as many as keywords you can

     If there is too many keywords appeared on your site. You maybe see as a spam by the search engines.

5. Domain

     This is important but you never think about this before you start operating a site. If keyword can be included in your domain, it can be said you must have a higher rankings. However, new blogger or new site owner never think about SEO before they start. The domain name always is there own favourite name, just like me.XD

6. URL

     Every page of your site have their own Unique URL. For example, http://kyrosp.com/about . The ABOUT is the path of my about page. It is easy for you to set a keyword here. Just like my other posts, always started as MAKE MONEY ONLINE.

7. Google Page Rank

     Having a higher google page rank can make your site have a front place during the search result. How to improve google page rank, Pls have a look of my previous post Google PageRank and Improving Google PageRank. You will have more ideas about it.
